The Hampton Academies Trust to apply to open new free schools

HAT is intending to apply to open two new primary schools in Wave 14 of the Free Schools programme. The first is an application is to open the first primary school on the new Great Haddon development. This school would be provisionally scheduled to open in 2024 and would serve the new housing to be built between Hampton and Norman Cross.

The other application is a re-submission of an earlier application to open a primary school on the site next door to Hampton Gardens School. Currently there is provisional approval for a catholic primary school to be built on the site. HAT is re-submitting its own application in case the other scheme does not go ahead for any reason.

Both projects would include nursery provision in purpose built accommodation.
